If you put shoes or bags in front of me; I will instinctively go for the 2nd option . I don’t think that I have a sensible explanation for this ,it is simply just the way it is…there are not any specific styles ,shapes or even sizes which I like , however I always go for something that catches my eye, that is unique and has a ‘wanted’ factory…you know something that emotes me and will identify with me . And there are two more things; good materials and finishes.
That’s quite important to me as I really appreciate quality.. I prefer to spend a bit of more money to have a guarantee that my new bag will survive not just a few outings but will age with me and will be timeless. Every bag is like a little “investment”….O God that sounds much better when I say it than when I see it written…oh well maybe this actually doesn’t sound good to anyone ( like my husband who just doesn’t get it and often complains that I have too many bags) but that’s my little philosophy. The fact is that after getting one I’m already saving for the next one ; it is kind of different matter; so lets not talk about this now :)
Any way I’m writing all about this because as a bag lover I’m still really reserved to the idea of having one of those transparent bags. It is quite difficult to ignore them because almost every brand has one of them in their current collection . I understand that’s the trend and it is just up to us if we want to follow it. But where is the practicality? Or maybe it is just about a nice display ? Don’t get me wrong but most of the time I wouldn’t like to show what I have in my bag. And there is a simple reason behind this. I just don’t want to attract thieves or get unnecessary attention.
But on the other hand this whole idea about transparent bags gives me a bit of smile. You know why , because it reminds me of the old times when I was much younger. Very often I didn’t want to take a backpack to school so my preference was to stick everything including my purse, keys, notes and all the rest to a big transparent file which I basically treated like a bag. And so who wasn’t being creative? I should really give a bit of credit to myself ;) Because who could have thought that this whole thing would become a trend.
