My last visit to Poland coincided with my mother emptying her wardrobe. I have to admit that I watched in disbelief as carefully hidden item after carefully hidden item was brought out. Some of the items I remember from my childhood; when my mum was wearing them. Seriously I didn’t expect that they still had a space in her wardrobe…a space which later turned out was special because of the memories and occasions .As my mum said she is an “old-fashioned person” and it was difficult to let them go. Now she is moving out ; literally and lyrically, she is left without much choice , and she finally decided to browse all the nooks and crannies in her wardrobe.
For me personally it was more like a fashion throwback but also a great opportunity to have a close look at some designs which now rank in our current trends. As somebody said :” fashion likes to repeat itself”. And there is no doubt on this one. But one thing that really enchanted me was the quality of fabrics, as most of the pieces were in pretty good condition as well as well cut and stylish. By using the occasion I hunted for a few items including this leather top which still looks good; taking into account all those years and the last time it was worn. i think that it will be great to give it another “chance to exist”.

So today still in the old edition; there are a few stains but I suppose they are sign of the transient time…However the idea of a little DYI is really tempting; something like a small resurgence and who knows what will come out.
