in a sweater and skirt with tassels

Hei ,Mina olen Sandra.
That’s the extent of my Finnish language skills so far…ok maybe I have a few more words like kiitos ( thank you), selvä ( okay), näkemiin ( good-bye). Trust me this language doesn’t sound so easy but I really would like to master a few more words to have a conversation. The most important thing is that I am massively motivated to speak well and hopefully I will get there. Even so, that there is not doubts that Finnish people speak English well or if not, they try so much to communicate. I really appreciate this and I thought that I could give them back some effort as well . That’s why me and my hubby decided to take some lessons. Especially as in a couple of weeks we are moving to our new neighbourhood…so excited!!!
Meanwhile I would like to share with you with some photos which were taken last weekend. We went to Helsinki just for a few hours to break the silence of our town. Maybe this sounds a bit strange but the place where we live doesn’t have so many people around so from time to time it is good to get to a busy city. It didn’t take so long to decide to go but it was quite a long drive. But we really liked it…and it looks like we have our favorite places over there already. The weather was great but it’s getting pretty cold.The fact that I was wearing just a sweater  ( no coat) could easily be misleading because underneath I had thermal garments…ojjjjjjjj that’s supposed to be a secret;) but if you run around the city with a few little stops in the shops this look like a perfect outfit…and lets not forget about super comfy shoes…

Ps all the pictures were taken on Senate Square which together with the surroundings make up the oldest part of central Helsinki. One of my favourite places …
